Java Code Example: floyd’s triangle

Basically, Floyd’s triangle is an arrangement of natural numbers from left to right in a right triangle. The first line contains a 1, the second line contains 2 and 3. The next line contains 4, 5 and 6. The numbers continue infinitely in this pattern.

class FloydTriangle {
	public static void main(String[] args) {
		int i, j, k = 1;
		Scanner reader = new Scanner(System.in);

		System.out.print("Enter number of rows of floyd`s trangle: ");
		int n = reader.nextInt();
		reader.close();

		for (i = 1; i <= n; i++) {
			for (j = 1; j <= i; j++) {
				System.out.print(k + " ");
				k++;
			}
			System.out.println();
		}
	}
}
Output
